Bachelor's to Master's Program: Criminal Justice and Human Rights, M.A.
The Department of Criminal Justice, Anthropology, Sociology, and Human Rights offers select undergraduate students at Georgian Court University the opportunity to apply for admission to the traditional M.A. in Criminal Justice and Human Rights program after completing 75 credits.
For acceptance, students:
- must have completed 75 credits and must be registered for at least 15 more credits;
- complete an Advanced Admission to the M.A. in CJHR Application;
- have an overall GPA of at least 3.0;
- provide at least one letter of recommendation from a full-time or part-time faculty in the Department of Criminal Justice, Anthropology, Sociology, and Human Rights or another full-time GCU faculty member attesting to the ability of the student to succeed in the program; and
- complete an interview with the M.A. program director.
Students meeting the above criteria may be accepted into this pathway program and may take up to four M.A. courses (12 credits) upon completing 90 undergraduate credits; that is, while they are still undergraduate students in their senior year. Acceptance into the M.A. program is assured for the students in the pathway, but acceptance is deferred until the undergraduate degree is conferred. This pathway program requires students to complete all the undergraduate and graduate degree requirements and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Advanced Admission to the Master of Arts in Criminal Justice & Human Rights
