Early Admission MD Program
The Early Acceptance and Transition to MD Program (the “Program”) allows qualifying GCU students to apply for and be granted Early Acceptance to WAUSM and transition to the WAUSM MD degree while completing their GCU bachelor’s degree. Students granted Early Acceptance to WAUSM who complete at least 90 credits at GCU including the WAUSM prerequisite coursework and meet the Proficiency Standards may then proceed to their first year of medical school at WAUSM as an “advancing student.” Students who are admitted into the Program and meet the standards for advancement under the Program are guaranteed a seat at WAUSM.
Advancing students complete their remaining GCU coursework requirements by completing the first two (2) terms at WAUSM. Advancing students are considered to be dual enrolled in GCU and WAUSM. Students who maintain good standing and complete the first two (2) terms at WAUSM with grades of Pass (70%) or higher will be awarded their B.A./B.S. degree by GCU and are eligible to continue their medical education at WAUSM.
